ABOUT US
WHO WE ARE
We are a small NGO in Sarnath, Uttar Pradesh, who work for the education, upliftment and empowerment of village children, especially girls.
Jarul Trust was registered in Delhi on 28 January 2016 , as Non-government Trust under the Indian Trusts Act 1882., offering a small group of local children simple after-school activities, such as yoga, meditation, art and craft, dance and games, to enhance their education and give them a bright space in which to express themselves, learn about the world and dream dreams.
Now the number of children who attend the Jarul Trust Creative Activity Centre has grown, and we have started English classes too.
WHY THE NAME JARUL
Jarul is the local name of the spectacular Lagerstroemia tree species which grace so many avenues in New Delhi and other Indian cities with their beautiful crepe flowers in many shades of mauve, violet and red.

Jarul is often called PRIDE OF INDIA. We hope that the children who pass through the JARUL TRUST Creative Activity Centre will become the Pride of India, and do something wonderful with their lives ahead.
